Benefits of SUPRA Membership – Why Belong?
SUPRA is a network of networks, an association of State Use programs whose missions are to provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. They further this mission selling, primarily to state and local government entities, goods and services authorized for such purpose by their individual states. SUPRA members enjoy numerous benefits through their association, including:
Advocacy – SUPRA members participate in a nationwide community of organizations who advocate for jobs for people with disabilities. Each organization’s individual voice is amplified by an association that together is responsible for employing over 30,000 Americans with disabilities.
Information – SUPRA members share the latest news about decisions in Washington D.C., as well as in individual states, that affect the employment of people with disabilities. SUPRA also networks with national organizations like SourceAmerica and the American Congress of Community Supports and Employment Services (ACCSES), so all SUPRA members are informed about national workforce innovation and legislation.
Ideas – Participating State Use programs share ideas for business expansion, new product and service development, training, marketing, and more. SUPRA is a network of like-minded people who constantly learn from each other.
Third Party Resources – Each SUPRA member works with business partners who are eager to replicate their business opportunities around the nation. SUPRA members share with each other information about product suppliers and other business partners.
Support – SUPRA members support and affirm each other’s work in a way that no one outside our industry can. Many of the challenges we face and the triumphs we celebrate in each of our individual programs are common to us all. Whether your program has a success to share or an idea to discuss, other State Use programs want to hear from you and help where possible.
Annual Conference – The Annual SUPRA Conference allows participants to connect with SUPRA members from all over the country, as well as with their own staff members, in a collaborative, idea-generating environment. Trainers, speakers, vendors, members, and stakeholders convene to raise the level of professionalism and share resources. The Annual Conference is a great opportunity to share information and fellowship with those who operate programs similar to your own.
